Jenna and I FINALLY got to ride in the very first seats on the bus! So our ride to Puerto de Iguazu was full of beautiful scenery, road kill sightings, more leg room, and witness to near death bus manuvers. Karen and Yavette were jealous of our superior location.
For the second time on our trip we decided at the last minute to change hostels. Brittney, our NYE friend, highly recommended the Hostel Inn and upon arrival to this fantastic new home we praised her wisdom. Pool and bar and food and what?! A private bathroom?! Aw yeah!!!
It was Karen's birthday so to celebrate we went straight to the bus stop. Destination Foz de Iguazu! The falls are a magnificent sight to behold. The beauty of the forest and the power of the water rushing through it is indescribable. I wish for every one of you the chance to visit this wonder of the world.
While in the park Karen suggested a trail that she had read about and after an hour hike we discovered the small waterfall, 75 feet or so, with a swimming hole below. We cooled off in the water and relaxed on the rocks before hiking back to the bus.
Then next few days we spent sunning by the hostel pool and making new friends with our new friends. Taking the advice of these new friends Jenna, and I made the decision to change our next destination from Sao Paulo to Florianopolos Brazil. It's nothing personal Sao Paulo, it's just that we're easily swayed by the promise of beautiful beaches.
